Simple design and easy operation for daily adhesion tension testing / Fast curing glue base allows user to perform testing in a shorter time
Thanks to its simple design and absolutely simple operation, the adhesion tester can be used by the practitioner as an instrument for daily adhesion tests. Thanks to the use of fast-curing adhesives, tests can be carried out by the user in the shortest possible time.
The tensile adhesion tester is designed to measure the adhesion value of paints and other coatings to the substrate and between layers or cohesive materials. The PCE-TAT 10 tensile adhesion tester is manufactured in accordance with EN13144 and ISO 4624 standards.
The test with the PCE-TAT 10 mechanical tensile adhesion tester is carried out as follows. A stud is glued to the test coating and, once the glue has dried, it is removed using the device's spring system. The force applied to remove the stuck pad is displayed as a numerical value on the device scale. This value is the adhesion value.
STRONG POINTS
Preparation for employment
- Clean the surface of the measuring probe and the surface on which you wish to place the probe, for example using fine sandpaper.
- Prepare the epoxy glue as directed on the package and mix it thoroughly.
- If you are using one-part superglue, open the tube.
- Apply the glue to the surface and place the measuring probe on the glue-covered surface as described in more detail on the packaging.
- Use the cutter to lightly scrape the area around the measuring probe.
Use
- Turn the top knob of the grip tester counterclockwise to release the gripping mechanism and spring.
- Now screw the adhesion tester (thread at the bottom) onto the measuring probe until the device reaches the surface to be tested.
- Turn the upper knob clockwise until the measuring head is free from the surface to be tested. You can read the pull-out force on scale 1 or 2, depending on the measuring probe used.
- If the measuring probe has not been separated from the surface, turn the knob counterclockwise to release the spring mechanism and remove the device from the measuring probe.
- Separate the measuring head from the surface using a chisel and a hammer.
- If the measuring probe has been separated from the surface, unscrew it from the device using the wrench.
- Clean the surface of the measuring probe of any glue and paint residues or chips.
